( Spinnerous and Paddlefootious)

Commonly Known as Spinner Shark

The spinner shark is grayish in color, it's dorsal and pectoral fins along with the tail are black-tipped. The snout is slender and very pointed and the eyes are small. The Spinner is often confused with it's smaller cousin the blacktip, which has simular marking but their eyes are much larger. Both the upper and lower teeth are slender and nearly symmetrical and not finely serrated as are those of the blacktip. Maximum size is about 8 feet long and 200 pounds. Spinner like to roam both offshore and close to shore, although the fish seems to be more of an inshore species. Diet consist of mostly small fish, but will utilize just about anything it can find. The Spinner Shark get their name for the ability of jumping out of the water in a spinning motion when hook. Their meat is edible.
