Although not in the family of ray the rounded skate actually calls Rajidae their family
geneis. But if you as me ray or skate they all look the same, and all have the ability to
deliver a nasty sting with their barb located on the end of their tales. Most conspicuous
markings are 2 spots, each dark-centered and eyelike, bordered in yello and located on
each disc wing. For the most part the are not considered sport or food value. Just a
nuisance when they end up on the end of your line.
