Offshore Galveston Area

Teal season was good any place that had water had birds, our areas around

Devers started out slow but finished off great with huge numbers of teal.

Our ranches near Rockport and Refugio held good numbers of teal, its also

now stacked with pintails and gadwall since this last good front and with

another unusually strong front on the way we will hold even more birds it

should be an outstanding duck season! The dove hunting around Alvin and

Danbury has been steady this past week with my hunters shooting an average

of a box and a half of shells a hunt, our dove hunting near mathis in south

Texas has been awesome to say the least with our hunters shooting a few

whitewings along with lots of mourning dove. The Bay fishing has been up

and down on the Galveston bay system dependind on which way and how hard

the wind is blowing. One upper bay region has been really hot though with

easy limits of trout being caught most days. Tuna fishing has been great

behind shrimp boats 65-80 miles out of Galveston if you can hit a run of

good sea conditions and an odd yellowfin being caught every once in a while

along with lots of blackfins. Calm Seas..........
