Sabine Lake Area
Solid trout to 5 pounds as well as some good redfish continue to come from
both the Sabine and Neches rivers on live shad fished near the drop offs.
Bird action in the main lake is picking up as well, soft plastics like the
Norton Sand Eel Jr and the Reaction Lures Chub Minnow in glo and chartreuse
are good bets for lots of numbers. Waders are catching some good fish on
protected shorelines, the big fish bite will be here before you know it.
Caught and released a 20 pound Jack Crevalle in the Sabine River of all
places just a couple of days ago, salty water is really making things
interesting.
